Oven Gloves With Silicon Grip - Deep Sea Coral

I ordered this pair of oven mitts in the abstract wave design. The design reminds me of some Japanese items I have. Not only are these mitts practical in keeping my hands safe when handling hot pots and pans, they look nice enough not to hide in a drawer. In fact, the gloves each have a small-leather like piece to hang them. Until they get the grungy look all oven mitts do over time, that's where they'll be: hanging in plain sight near my stove.

Nothing fancy, only what is expected. I like the design pattern, it is cheerful. They are nicely padded inside and they are of the correct size, not too large like some other mitts that we have. Basic and simple.

Lovely, large size oven mitts. They are well made and have good heat resistance.

These look just as advertised and the lemon theme is bright and fun. However, on the 1st use I noticed that the heat comes through pretty quickly. They're not bad for grabbing a cookie sheet out of the oven, but I was holding a Dutch oven with bread (it wasn't heavy) while adjusting the height of the racks and within 10-15 seconds it was almost too hot to hold. Maybe it's just me but I do a lot of cooking and baking and none of my other mitts transfer heat as quickly. As I said, they do work for grabbing something quickly, but I wouldn't grab a heavy casserole out if it's going to be in your hands for more than a couple seconds.
